Different Ways to Relieve Back Pain

Sleeping posture – This is one of the most common reasons why people suffer from back pain. Improper sleeping posture can be harmful to us since we spend approximately 8 hours sleeping. If you are to spend about half of that time sleeping in a bad posture, then you may even wake up with back pain that does not go away for several hours. Professionals would recommend to get a mattress that can firmly support the body or would recommend to use pillows in a specific way to prevent back pain.
Exercises – Obviously enough, being able to regularly exercise would be a good solutions for different bodily disorders or pains, not just back pain. Even just regularly walking for hours would be a great prevention against back pain because in this state, your body would be in an upright position where the back is not curved unlike when you are sitting.
Quit smoking – Believe it or not, studies have proven that smoking can actually contribute a lot in experiencing back pain. This is because the nicotine being introduced to our body as we smoke would actually cause the small blood vessels or capillaries to constrict which reduces blood flow.
Maintain good posture – Your sleeping posture is not the only thing that could affect your back. Your posture, whether you are sitting, standing up, or even when doing certain things actually matter. The pain that you are experiencing may just be from how you have been standing up in the past couple of years and now it has resulted to back pain which is usually in the lower back.
Although you can do some things to prevent and cure back pain, it is still highly recommended to visit and consult a doctor, especially if the pain is quite hard to bear and it already affects your daily activity.
